Цей Prius наче втік з аніме про вуличні перегони
It’s pretty much agreed that the current-generation Toyota Prius is the best-looking version yet, marking a major step up from the dowdy, appliance-like designs of earlier models. That glow-up hasn’t gone unnoticed, with tuners jumping at the opportunity and rolling out all kinds of creative styling upgrades.Still, none have taken things quite as far as this latest creation from Japan, which pushes the compact hybrid into uncharted territory, landing somewhere between Transformers and Fast & Furious.More: Japanese Tuner Unleashes The 2023 Toyota Prius’ Wild SideThe build made its first appearance at the Tokyo Auto Salon, brought to life by lighting company Crystal Eye with support from local tuning outfit Body Shop Kikuta. While many digital renderings toy with the idea of an aggressive Prius, this one commits fully, channeling something close to a samurai in sheet metal form. The front end is dominated by a massive splitter that wouldn’t look out of place on a snow plow, paired with a vented hood. Its sides merge into flat-edged, wide fender extensions made of aluminum, stealing the spotlight from the shiny 20-inch alloy wheels by Work.Modifications at the back are even more extreme. A towering wing bolts to the tailgate, flanked by angular fins that extend outward like blades. A pronounced rear diffuser rounds off the transformation. Crystal Eye also installed a custom set of hexagonal LED taillights, which will soon be available for purchase on the aftermarket.More: Tom’s Racing Gives The Toyota Prius Aero WingsThe car’s dramatic stance is courtesy of an Air Rex Odin air suspension setup, allowing it to crouch just millimeters from the tarmac when parked.Despite its bosozoku-inspired styling, this wild Prius build doesn’t seem to come with any performance upgrades. For now, it still makes up to 220 hp (164 kW / 223 PS) from the most powerful plug-in hybrid setup, at least until the builders decide it’s time for a proper engine swap.As expected, the Crystal Eye 60 Prius isn’t headed for production. It’s a one-off showcase meant to spotlight the company’s aftermarket lighting products and draw attention at car shows. According to the spec sheet, though, it technically remains street-legal, which is impressive given how far it strays from Toyota’s original blueprint. ![]()
